Tomb
of Admiral Yi
His body that died on November 19th in 1598(december
16th by solar calender.) at the sea battle
of Noryang was first put in Gogmdo for while
which was the last military camp.
And then the next year, in 1599, his coffin
was moved and buried at Mt.Geumseong at
Umbong-myun , Asan-si on February 11th.
The grave moved to Mt.Eora in 1614, 16 years
after his death.
Yi Chungmugong's grave became a Historical
Spot No. 122 on may 22th in 1959.

The
grave was managed by Hyeonchungsa shrine
management office since July 19th in 1973
after getting an approval from Chungmugong's
descendants. He buried together with his
wife from the Bang Family of Sangju and
has the same appearance of any high official's
grave from Joseon Dynasty.
